Everyones in good spirits and ready for ye RG3 show! Right now the skins are 0-2 against the afc, but are still in the playoff hunt. They decide there own destiny. Coming off the huge Monday Night win over the giants 17-16, lets hope they bring there A game. Fletcher and Hall are active for todays game. With kickoff less than two hours away i am anticipating a Redskins win. 30-27 over the ravens. This game not only gets us one step closer to the playoffs, also giving us bragging rights for the Maryland and DC area. So for hose at home get your food ready, snuggle in with a nice blanket and enjoy the show!

Hail to the Redskins!!

Week 14 - Start'em or Sit'em

No comments:

This week is the first week of the Fantasy Football Playoffs for most.  In this edition of Start'em or Sit'em I will be looking into the QB, WR/TE, RB, and even the Kicking Position.

Quarter Back:  Start'em - Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers is going up against a Detroit Lions team that has a depleted Defense with 6 players who are questionable.  Not to mention by the law of averages, Aaron Rodgers is due for a huge game.  In his past two games he has only put up one passing touchdown per game.  Greg Jennings has been easing back into the offense and Rodgers still have 28 TD's on the season.  Recently with the loss of Jordy Nelson it seems as though you haven't really seen to many power numbers from Rodgers.  Is this the reason or just a coincidence? No-one will know, but at this point I am picking Aaron Rodgers to be the one to Start if you have him on your team.

Wide Receiver:  Start'em - Reggie Wayne.

With Andrew Luck at the helm of the Colts, Reggie Wayne has been Revitalized to the player he once was was when a man by the name of Peyton was calling the shots.  Although he was only targeted 8 times this past week, he still averaged 12.8 yards per catch.  In games previous to this they have been around the same, and more importantly they're going up against a Titans Team that still hasn't been able to pull it all together this year.  I see Wayne going over a 100 yards, and having at least one TD.

Running Back:  Start'em - C.J.Spiller.

I have really liked C.J. Spiller this whole year, he has been averaging 7 yards per carry, and if he is able to break 93 Yards this week he will have over 1,000 yards on the season.  this comes as a number 2 back, and if he were the primary RB on another team he might be able to get around 2000 yards in a single season for rushing.  Going up against the Ram's and there run defense I see him possibly being the number one RB for this week.

For this week I only have ONE sit'em.  You must sit KICKER Mike Nugent.  I'm sure you're saying KICKER?! What?! Well the story here is I did make the playoffs in one of my more competitive leagues.  Here they have a certain number of waiver moves.  This year I tried to pick up a gem early in the year off the wire, and hope they turned out well.  Well, I didn't and as a result I used up all my waiver wire moves, and made a series of trades.  Two of the players I picked up are now on IR, and the kicker I have is doubtful, who of course is...... The one, the only..... MIKE NUGENT.  Life is a series of battles, which you win and lose.  You can of course make this same analogy of fantasy football.  Well I did win one battle, and made it into the playoffs.  But, I lost the battle in making the right waiver moves as a result making me be one less player in the playoffs.  They say Kickers aren't as big a deal, well if it comes down to a 5-9 point loss that point will be proven wrong!

Good Luck to those in the Fantasy Football Playoffs! For those out, there is always next year, now the last 4 weeks of the season will bring you Sunday Fundays by being able to just enjoy your favorite team and not worry about who is in the Flex or who was benched.

Atlanta Vs. Carolina - CAROLINA
Chicago Vs. Minnesota - CHIGAGO
Baltimore Vs. Washington - WASHINGTON
Philadelphia Vs. Tampa Bay - TAMPA BAY
San Diego Vs. Pittsburgh - PITTSBURGH
Dallas Vs. Cincinnati - CINCINNATI
Tennessee Vs. Indianapolis - INDIANAPOLIS
NY Jets Vs. Jacksonville - JACKSONVILLE
St. Louis Vs. Buffalo - St. LOUIS
Kansas City Vs. Cleveland - KANSAS CITY
Miami vs. San Francisco - SAN FRANCISCO
New Orleans Vs. NY Giants - NEW ORLEANS
Arizona Vs. Seattle - SEATTLE
Detroit  Vs. Green Bay - GREEN BAY
Houston Vs. New England - NEW ENGLAND

Some key match-ups are Atlanta Vs. Carolina.  In this game we will finally see that Cam Newton is not only the real deal but that Carolina is not what there record say's they are.  Any game the RG3 Redskins are in should be noted.  If they win out they have a chance at the NFC East title but more importantly this is the Beltway Bowl, are the Redskins the new Team in that area?!  With the devastating loss the NY Giants have this is there week they need to bounce back in order to stay in first place, I see this as more of a shootout but I think the New Orleans Saints are going to come out on top keeping themselves in the race for the wild card.  Detroit and Green Bay is a huge divisional game that shouldn't be over seen.  This can stir things up in the NFC North a little with the Detroit win.  Finally, the biggest match-up this week: Houston Vs. New England.  This will be a true test to the Houston team if they can beat the Patriots as well as the Patriots beating the Houston Texans.  If the Patriots pull this off we're looking at them going to to the top of the power ranking next week!

Enjoy the Thursday Night showdown and be on the look out every Wednesday for our weekly Pick'ems!

Matchup of the Week: Houston (11-1) at New England (9-3)

Big matchup this week for the Texans and Pats. Both teams sitting 1 and 2 respectively in the AFC as New England tries to dig into Houston's two game league for the top spot. This game is huge for New England as not only will a win put them within one game of the #1 seed but it will help them maintain the #2 seed over Baltimore and Denver who also are 9-3. Look for this to be one of the best games of the year.

Andrew Luck - Rookie of the Year 2012?

No comments:

Dec 4, 2012

It's getting to that time of the year where the race for MVP and Rookie of the Year really starts to heat up. Anyone that knows me, would think I'm crazy not to think Tom Brady is winning it (again). Going to be a close one with him and Peyton yet again this year. Anyone can argue all day long about who is going to win MVP, Rookie of the Year on the other hand is a totally different story. Andrew Luck deserves this more than RG3. Why? Because he wins.

Yea RG3 is breaking records for completion percentage, passer rating, rushing yards, blah, blah, blah. Andrew Luck takes chances, he's thrown 178 more passes so far than RG3. 178!! Anyone can have a high completion percentage when they barely throw the ball. Andrew Luck is possibly one win away from locking up a playoff spot for a team that went 2-14 last season. He'll take them to AT LEAST a 10-6 record this year, possibly 11-5 if they can split with Houston down the stretch. Meanwhile, the Redskins, who went 5-11 last season are only 6-6 right now. Ask any NFL player, coach, or owner and they will tell you how much wins outweigh individual statistics.

Some will claim the the Redskins defense is part of the reason they haven't been winning but the Colts are 21st in total defense, nothing to brag about by any means. Not to mention, RG3 also has another rookie standout in Alfred Morris to help with the offensive load.

RG3 is certainly an amazing player and is deserving of all his praise, but Andrew Luck is the real deal and deserves this award. He needs to be in the running for MVP too since right now, he is literally the Most Valuable Player.

RG3 - Rookie of the Year 2012?

Dec 3, 2012

It's hard to believe that it was 12 weeks ago this the picture people saw of RG3 after scoring his first Passing TD in the NFL.  He now has 16 NFL Passing TD's a Passer rating of 104.6, 67.4 completion percentage and a mere 4 INT's and only 2 fumbles only turning the ball over 6 times through 12 games.  These stat don't even include his 642 Rushing hards, averaging 6.4 per carry, and 6 Td's -- Making him the number rusher behind the starter Alfred Morris (also a Rookie).

After last season Cam Newton set the bar high, and beginning of the season everyone was saying RG3 couldn't get past that, well he has.  So, now the front runner in my opinion is RG3 with a close Andrew Luck Trailing behind.  Although Andrew Luck has 3 more wins at this point over RG3, which is the first Rookie to do that in a long time.  But you ask why RG3 over Andrew Luck.....

RG3 is showing statistics that could be compared to players such as Tom Brady, Drew Brees, and Peyton Manning.  RG3 has more "FIRSTS" then Luck.... First Player to be appointed Captain in his rookie year by his peers, First Rookie to be nominated for the most Rookie of the weeks, and rookie of the month honors, first to win two awards in one week as a rookie.  The both hold the intangibles and leadership that is for sure, but with the track record of QB's in Washington RG3 has proved to show why the Redskins took the measure they needed to in order to get him as the second overall draft pick.  Not to mention just how much better the Redskins are as a result of having him as a QB on and off the field.

From a divisional Standpoint to be doing what he is doing is huge.  Yes, the colts division has probably one of the best teams in the Houston Texans, but they have two teams that are far below 500.  NFC East has three playoff possibles, and is far more competitive than Luck's division.  I will say though, if Luck is able to beat the Texans in their meeting on December 16th and the Redskins lose to the Giants tonight on Monday night Football then you can't say that about the divisional aspect of it.

So, when it comes time to put your Ballot in for Rookie of the Year.. Vote three characters... R-G-3!

To be a Commissioner? or Not to be a Commissioner?

Fantasy football commissioner that is....

Nothing gets me more angry than a horrible Commissioner   I am not going to name name's but the one that runs Saga Drama League is horrible.  He has done two trades--Ryan Williams for Reggie Wayne, Really?  He abuses his power for no reason, and does bogus trades that are unfair.   Not to mention he doesn't follow his own rules.  It is very clear he is abusing his power, and making up the rules as the season progresses.  This isn't the only thing he has been a pain about, was also the day of the draft.  Just pulls a date out of his ass and says you're either there or not in the league without asking if people can even make it who were in the league before hand.  Bring back last years commissioner because you suck!

That brings me to the lazy commissioner  they suck.  you never know what is going on, and getting together the draft is always a pain.  It takes two seconds to do but it's always put off till two hours before we draft.  Not to mention when the server is down and you need to reschedule the draft makes the shittiest time to do the makeup. Oy, Lazy comissioners suck.

Of course you always greedy commissioner  who takes your money and then uses it for themselves to buy that 6 pack of beer, and a pack of condoms.  They're always the winners, since they fuck themselves two ways.... everyone gets mad at them for spending the money, and they end up just jacking off into the condoms.

Then you have the I do this for attention commissioner   Let's throw a party and do a live draft.  But hey everyone come see how cool I am!

So, unless you're going to be truthful, fair, and take into account everyone.  Don't be a commissioner.

I sure as hell am never going to be one! Would you wan to be one of these guys?

**In no means am I talking about anyone specific.  Except for the first commissioner maybe.....
